I have been abroad without a passport two or three times. I went to Caldey Island which is about 2 miles off the coast if Wales. I can see it from here.

Ooh. On a clear evening, I can see further then America. I can see the moon!

Oh! Sorry!! ! ! Im just saying that bc they dont understand me. I say the word autistic and it scares them. You seem to understand me much better!

I understand you. It was a very long life journey for me to find I might be autistic. It was due trying to find out what I now know are shutdowns and partial shutdowns, that I came to this site. It has taken me all my life until I came here to find that out!

Thank you so much! You just reminded me of the small things that matter. It's dark now and I will go outside and look for the moon. It's dinner time so it should be quiet at the patio. I don't know if you are autistic or not, but you seem like a good friend to me <3

As long as you don't mind that I talk too much sometimes. Haha!

I used to be very quiet until I was around 18 to my early 20's. Was told off for being too shy and quiet!

(Do not worry if it is someone elses turn to use the computer. Plenty of time...)

Sorry to hear about your circumstances.

I have just read a brief overview of the treatment of people with Autism in Brazil and i am afraid it appears that Brazil appear to be very behind in their medical communities level of understanding with regards to the condition.

https://www.autismaroundtheglobe.org/countries/Brazil.asp

This saddens me, i live in an island in between France and the UK, which also is fairly backward in their general treatment of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and i have had to find considerably to get any change in the island i live in.

You may be able to find a useful Autism Organisation that may help you fight for your rights and how you are being treated or as it may be the case (i know, i have been through similar stuff) mistreated by the medical professionals.

Just because they have a badge doesn't mean they are qualified in your particular area of need.
Specialist training is really a requirement to treat people with Autism Spectrum Disorder fairly.

Hope that helps.
Btw i used to do BJJ and Judo. just incidental.

Also, you might prefer to continue this discussion in the Members Only section of Wrong Planet, for privacy reasons. Posts in the Members Only section are NOT accessible to Google Search, whereas posts in other areas do eventually show up on Google Search. It's up to you to decide whether this difference matters to you.

That's probably best. I'm a bit anxious right now bc they have set up a meeting for me with a family psychologist and my mother today and I don't know what to expect. I will start the new discussion on the members only section now but I might not be able to check on it until later at night. Thank you!

Good thought Mona. And Imhatahata if you want your full name removed from the first thread to protect your identity, you can message a moderator or post here: https://wrongplanet.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=391105
