Hunter Biden makes front page...

Hunter Biden introduced his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to a top executive at a Ukrainian energy firm less than a year before the elder Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company, according to emails obtained by The Post.
The never-before-revealed meeting is mentioned in a message of appreciation that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma, allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month.
“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the email reads.
An earlier email from May 2014 also shows Pozharskyi, reportedly Burisma’s No. 3 exec, asking Hunter for “advice on how you could use your influence” on the company’s behalf.
The blockbuster correspondence — which flies in the face of Joe Biden’s claim that he’s “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings” — is contained in a massive trove of data recovered from a laptop computer.
The computer was dropped off at a repair shop in Biden’s home state of Delaware in April 2019, according to the store’s owner.
Other material extracted from the computer includes a raunchy, 12-minute video that appears to show Hunter, who’s admitted struggling with addiction problems, smoking crack while engaged in a sex act with an unidentified woman, as well as numerous other sexually explicit images.
The customer who brought in the water-damaged MacBook Pro for repair never paid for the service or retrieved it or a hard drive on which its contents were stored, according to the shop owner, who said he tried repeatedly to contact the client.
The shop owner couldn’t positively identify the customer as Hunter Biden, but said the laptop bore a sticker from the Beau Biden Foundation, named after Hunter’s late brother and former Delaware attorney general.
Photos of a Delaware federal subpoena given to The Post show that both the computer and hard drive were seized by the FBI in December, after the shop’s owner says he alerted the feds to their existence.

Hunter Biden pursued lucrative deals involving China’s largest private energy company — including one that he said would be “interesting for me and my family,” emails obtained by The Post show.
One email sent to Biden on May 13, 2017, with the subject line “Expectations,” included details of “remuneration packages” for six people involved in an unspecified business venture.
Biden was identified as “Chair / Vice Chair depending on agreement with CEFC,” an apparent reference to the former Shanghai-based conglomerate CEFC China Energy Co.
His pay was pegged at “850” and the email also noted that “Hunter has some office expectations he will elaborate.”
In addition, the email outlined a “provisional agreement” under which 80 percent of the “equity,” or shares in the new company, would be split equally among four people whose initials correspond to the sender and three recipients, with “H” apparently referring to Biden.
The deal also listed “10 Jim” and “10 held by H for the big guy?”
Neither Jim nor the “big guy” was identified further.
The email’s author, James Gilliar of the international consulting firm J2cR, also noted, “I am happy to raise any detail with Zang if there is [sic] shortfalls ?”
“Zang” is an apparent reference to Zang Jian Jun, the former executive director of CEFC China.
The email is contained in a trove of data that the owner of a computer repair shop in Delaware said was recovered from a MacBook Pro laptop that was dropped off in April 2019 and never retrieved.
The computer was seized by the FBI, and a copy of its contents made by the shop owner shared with The Post this week by former Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Just shows how important it is to take care of where you leave a computer\digital storage device:
Quote:
According to the receipt uploaded by the NY Post, if the computer was indeed abandoned property, the owner of the store could be in the clear:
According to the quote for repairs, "The Mac Shop reserves the right to remove any equipment or parts installed" if left with the shop for more than 90 days.

Now, lets return to the real world.
It is entirely possible that whilst visiting his family, and\or helping the foundation, he offered to take some damaged computers in to be repaired, but forgot to let anyone at the foundation know or whoever he told about it forgot, resulting in the computers remaining there. Being the only address on the site for the foundation (whose labels were supposedly affixed to the laptops) is in the same town as the computer store in question, it's not out of the question that something along these lines occurred.
As to the price on the invoice, whilst low, it would fit in with the website which currently lists a $39 "attempt fee" for data recovery, and a maximum $159. Conceivably the $85 billed would be for "attempt fees", with any additional amount only payable on collection of the machine where data had been recovered.

Personally, I feel that it is entirely possible the machines were taken in, and either no-one at the foundation was informed, or whoever had been informed forgot about them, given the store and the foundation both have addresses in the same city. Some time later (we have no way of knowing how hard or how often the store "tried" to contact the owner), and outside the 90 day collection time, the owner of the store passed along information about the contents to the "other side", who they supported. Given that data recovery attempts would result in the person attempting the recovery seeing file names, and being aware of who brought them in, it is possible someone at the store doing data recovery had a look at the contents "to make sure the file(s) weren't damaged", and so would have been aware of what they had, and the potential "value" of it.

How sad.

We have more than ten "parties," actually.
For all intents and purposes, though, the US operates on a "two-party" system, and has been doing so since the 19th century. The closest we came to a "third party" winning an election was with Theodore Roosevelt during the 1912 election, when he ran under the Bull Moose ticket and actually came in second behind Woodrow Wilson.

It could be a lame cover story for a theft, which would probably make any evidence inadmissible in a court scenario. Not that I think it matters much. The chans are convinced the laptop was filled to the brim with illegal pornography, which is a plausible reason to hand a laptop over to the FBI, rather than a very curious email reading employee.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Looking to undermine rival Joe Biden 20 days before the election, President Donald Trump’s campaign has seized on a tabloid story offering bizarre twists to a familiar line of attack: Biden’s relationship with Ukraine. But the story in the New York Post raises more questions than answers, including about the authenticity of an email at the center of the story.
The origins of the story also trace back to Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who has repeatedly pushed unfounded claims about Biden and his son, Hunter Biden. Even if the emails in the Post are legitimate, they don’t validate Trump and Giuliani’s claims that Biden’s actions were influenced by his son’s business dealings in Ukraine.

Facebook's, Twitter's clampdowns on controversial NY Post story cause backlash
Quote:
Twitter and Facebook moved quickly this week to clamp down on an unverified New York Post story about Hunter Biden. But the social media giants' decisions, and their failure to communicate them, led to accusations of censorship and forced Twitter to quickly change its policies on handling hacked content.
Twitter had banned users from sharing links to the story late on Wednesday, because it violated the company's policy that prohibits hacked content. But it didn't alert its users as to why they couldn't share the link until hours later, forcing CEO Jack Dorsey to publicly apologize.
"Straight blocking of URLs was wrong, and we updated our policy and enforcement to fix," Dorsey tweeted on Friday.
And instead of blocking links from being shared, tweets will be labeled to provide context, Gadde said.
Facebook, meanwhile, used the possibility of false information as the reason to limit the Post article's reach, which means its algorithm shows it to fewer people, much the way you might not see as many posts from friends you don't interact with often.
It was the first time in recent memory that the two social media platforms enforced rules against misinformation on a story from a mainstream media publication.
