My family traditionally carves pumpkins for Halloween. My young ones really look forward to it, but my youngest (she's 6) isn't fully capable of removing all the pumpkin innards. Normally my wife would step in, but she's quite ill at the moment. So yesterday the task fell to me. I managed to complete the job, but I absolutely hate how the inside of a pumpkin feels, especially the sliminess of the pulp and seeds. I can't be the only one with sensory issues involving pumpkins...can I? :(

Nah, not just you. That stuff is nasty. I'd try to use this large, metal spoon, I have lying around. I got lucky, my oldest loved the stuff, and would get in and help me with pumpkin gut removal when his sisters couldn't get it all. I'd try but :eew:

Thank god. I just needed one other person to be freaked out by this. Thank you! I'm not weird! Or rather I'm less weird!
