Your attitude is curious.
Is your wife of China*s* decent?

Huh? No she's Malaysian Indian, nothing personal, I don't have a stake and I initially wanted Australia to punish China, but now as things have stablilised and Trump is chucked out, its probably better not to poke the Chinese dragon.

And the China*s* diplomat threatened Australia in terms of physical consequences, not that long ago.
And China* is in the process of destroying our economy.
We have very real reasons for concern.

This is economic warfare, China doesn't have to launch a single missile, they are capable of starving our economy.

Morisson's reaction is geopolitical

I watch a lot more current affairs, news programs than you apparently.
The information in the article you linked is old news to me.

Also, Australia has engaged in a new trading deal, within our area, with 15 countries, which is going to help diversify our trading goods.
Australia is heavily looking at decoupling our economics from China*, as much as possible, and about blood time.
In the future, China* won't be able to bully us as much as they do now.

Australia signs Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, the world's largest trade deal

The largest trade deal in history has been signed, with 15 countries including Australia agreeing to the pact, which covers 30 per cent of the global economy. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-11-15/ ... l/12885666

Umm... China is part of that trade deal... that's the reason *why* the deal covers 30 percent of the global economy...

The US is not part of the deal, however, so it looks like Australia is decoupling from the US, not China...

BTW, why do you keep writing "China*"?

Pepe the 15 countries Scomo did a deal with are ASEAN tributary states that are economically reliant on China. As I said now that the pandemic is getting under control and we don't need to suck up to Trump there's no good reason to stir the Chinese dragon.

Then why are the *experts* saying it will help decouple us from China*?
I don't make things up.
I have reliable sources which inform me. 8)

I am sure someone else can tell you why I spell it as "China*" 8)

If there is no benefit to Australia, why is Morrison so happy?

He is over-the-moon with the trade deal, for no good reason.
He throws 270 Billion down the drain, to defend against a non-existent enemy.
The man must be a fool.

I think it has something to do with Chinese censors.

I googled this and it seems China is a word in Vietnamese used to designate predominant Vietnamese ethnicity. I couldn't find any reference to its use to refer to Chinese.

He's either using 'China*' in jest, treating China like it's an explicit word that needs to be censored, or he's actually worried about Chinese censors finding his online opinions about the Chinese government and doing something to him since he lives in Australia. Take your pick. I'm speculating.

The former is probably it since the thread title says 'China'

.. well, I suppose one *could* come up with a sobriquet so similarly sportive as "China*" for Australia, but I fancy such endeavours would be akin to jostling with a mammal of the Suidae family.
Women in uniform are *hot*.
That being said, it is quite well known that China prefers to achieve its foreign policy objectives through softer means that military action. And should a military confrontation occur between China and another country, Australia - being almost 2,700 miles away - is probably not the first country which would come to mind...
