2020 Election Exit Poll Statistics.
It has taken a few days of sifting through numerous exit polls to come up with these demographic data. Some points are obvious, and some are not. It might be worth noting that the next candidates for president might want to consider the make-up of the majority of voters before pandering to only a select few groups (i.e., LGBTQ+, first-time voters, members of labor unions, evangelical Christians, et cetera).
The Majority of Voters in the 2020 Presidential Election:
• Are not gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender (93%).
• Have voted previously (86%).
• Are not U.S. military veterans (85%).
• Are not Union households (80%).
• Earn an income of less than $100,000 per year (74%).
• Believe a presidential candidate's positions on issues is most important (74%).
• Decided on their presidential vote before September (73%).
• Are not white born-again or evangelical Christian (72%).
• Voted mainly FOR their candidate, and not against the opponent (71%).
• Believe racism in the U.S. is an important problem (69%).
• Believe voting in their state is very easy (69%).
• Believe climate change is a serious problem (67%).
• Believe wearing a face mask in public is a public health responsibility (67%).
• Do not have any children under age 18 (67%).
• Are white (67%).
• Are age 45 or older (60%).
• Have no college degree (59%).
• Work full time (58%).
• Have a favorable view of Black Lives Matter (57%).
• Believe Joseph Biden has the temperament to serve as president (54%).
• Believe Joseph Biden is better able to handle the coronavirus pandemic (53%).
• Believe Donald Trump does not have the temperament to serve as president (53%).
• Believe the country's criminal justice system treats black people unfairly (53%).
• Have a generally favorable view of Joseph Biden (52%).
• Have a generally unfavorable view of Donald Trump (52%).
• Believe it is important to contain the coronavirus (52%).
• Believe the Supreme Court should keep Obamacare as it is (51%).
• Believe abortion should be legal (51%).
• Live in a suburban area (51%).
Granted, these statistics are probably off by a few percentage-points each way; but they are what they are.
