Vampires are hyper sensitive to sensory information

people with ASD can be hypersensitive to sensory information

Vampires don't like to hang out that much

people with ASD don't like to hang out that much

Vampires often are night owls

People with ASD are often night owls

Vampires lack empathy

people with ASD lack empathy?

Vampires extend their life by drinking the blood of innocent humans...

not sure if people with ASD like drinking blood of innocent humans... personally never tried it
however, you may see how compelling my argument is.......

That ugly, annoying, triggering E-word...

I love spring and summer, I am not into Halloween and I hate winter and darkness. I'm obviously not comparable to a vampire.

I worked in IT (information technology) for decades. I thought it was good preparation for being a vampire. There were a lot of pale folk--who did not go out in the sun and even indoors preferred to work in the dark.

More recently I've read things suggesting that Aspies frequently gravitate to IT.

What flavor of blood is on tap?

Well, I can confirm that I at least like the taste of my own blood...

Well...I have a thing for actress Kristen Stewart  .

So ...does that count?

If you have been living under a rock since 2005 - she played Bela Swan: the high school girl in the "Twilight Saga" who falls in love with the four hundred year old vampire dude who...for some reason ...is still in high school even though he is four hundred years old.

I am not a zombie, although I like women for their brains.

I am not a vampire either. Bite me.

Another box for aspergers?
Only covered in dark and alone-ness like themes? Cause it's a common fit?

While I like boxes, I like them visible, tangible and concrete -- not intangible and debatable. :P

I do not stay in such boxes. Whether I want to or not.

And sorry. I like cats better.

I have plenty of empathy the world over. I really find the empathy stereotype very distasteful.

Agreed. I seem to have far more empathy than most NTs I know.

I thought I had loads of empathy and all that empathy stuff about ASD people was a load of rubbish.

However, I did a test created by Simon Baron Coen, and the results basically said i was fairly typical Asperger in that i had low empathy.

Now, I am generally very compassionate and try my best to understand what it feels like to be the other person etc.
However, i think that isn't an innate built in trait such as empathy but my intellect working things out, perhaps emulating empathy due to my up bringing.

I have to say, when I am in conflict with someone, i can lose my compassion for someone, feeling the emotion stronger than perhaps normal people. I would say that most my emotional states are amplified compared to NT people.

There was a theory years ago that people with ASD experience the world in an amplified state.
This would explain how i experience the world.

I believe the theory is called the intense world theory or something similar.

From where I came from, empathy is not a virtue nor the epitome of humanity.

It's more like a form of literacy to me.

When I order steak at a restaurant, I ask for it rare. I guess that's the closest to drinking blood that a person can get.
