Catching up with the new questions added.

3. How strongly do you favor nauseating content in video games?
I'm not sure what you mean by nauseating content. If it's gross things like violence or bodily excretions I don't necessarily mind, but it should come with an appropriate warning. If it's messed up camera effects that f**k with your eyes or something I don't think games should have that at all.

5. How strongly do you favor video games that feature gambling that doesn’t involve real-world currency?
I don't mind it per se, but it could encourage players susceptible to gambling problems to start gambling IRL which could be dangerous.

6. How strongly do you favor intentionally obscene language, symbols or gestures in video games?
If it's done for the sake of dark humour it has it's place, within limits. You shouldn't go out of your way to offend a single group, especially if it's an already marginalised group. It's better to offend everybody so everyone knows it's not serious, or nobody at all.

7. How strongly do you favor unintentionally obscene language, symbols or gestures in video games?
If it's an accident the offender can't be fully blamed, but they may still be held responsible and might need to at least apolagise or otherwise rectify their negligence.

9. How strongly do you favor video games which depict characters abusing non-endangered plants in situations that don’t involve self-defense or defending those that can’t defend themselves?
What? Plants? Does this refer to some controversy I'm not familiar with? Why would anyone get upset about plants?

10. How strongly do you favor video games which depict characters abusing fictional AI characters in situations that don’t involve self-defense or defending those that can’t defend themselves? (Keep in mind that although extremely sophisticated robots aren’t commonplace, cyborgs have become a sizeable minority over the years.)
If an AI is sufficiently human-like enough it should be treated as such unless you're drawing parallels to real-world social issues. Even abuse of "stupid" AI probably shouldn't be depicted in a positive way because of the parallels it may draw.

11. How strongly do you favor video games which depict characters abusing genetic clones in situations that don’t involve self-defense or defending those that can’t defend themselves? (Keep in mind that although clones aren’t commonplace, donor-conceived people have become a sizeable minority over the years.)
The same way you'd depict abuse against whatever the clone was cloned from.

16. How strongly do you favor video games that unironically reinforce old negative stereotypes about cultures that have been subjugated for ages by Western powers, such as African descendants, Arabs and Native American Indians?
They shouldn't. Positive stereotypes aren't good either. Depict people as humans and with the same amount of respect as any of your own.

17. How strongly do you favor censoring non-defamatory LGBT content in video games?
I'm not sure what you mean by that. I don't think any LGBT content warrents censorship.

18. How strongly do you favor video games whose characters wear clothes inspired by fairly non-controversial national flags?
I don't see any problems with that.

19. How strongly do you favor video games using controversial political iconography, like pro-Nazi swastikas or various flags that have fallen out of favor over time (like the Confederate battle flag, Japan’s Rising Sun flag or the USSR’s flag)?
As long as it's not the good guys using it and the iconography is not glorified, I don't mind depictions of such imagery per se. Especially in historic contexts where such images are appropriate.

23. How strongly do you favor educational games?
I don't care for them much, but they're good for schools and all.

24. How strongly do you favor games that might resonate with the furry fandom?
If it's a game featuring anthro-like characters that would appeal to furries I wouldn't mind it, but I would probably avoid the players/fanbase. If it's a game specifically made by furries and/or for furries... nope. Regardless of it's content, nope.

25. How strongly do you question video games that depict or reference anything resembling or relating to the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001?
That's pretty sensitive, but it shouldn't be a huge issue if it's done respectfully.

35. How strongly do you believe video games are allowed to demonize science?
Science is demonised enough as it is already. No need for games to hammer down on it some more.

35. How strongly do you believe video game characters’ personality test results (via blood type, Eastern/Western zodiac signs, MBTI, etc.) are important?
Not at all.

43. How strongly do you favor video game companies that condemn North Korea’s government?
Well, North Korea's government sucks so that would be great.

44. How strongly do you favor video game companies that condemn any form of Russian ultra-nationalism?
Any form of ultra-nationalism is no good. The only issue is when you condemn another country's extremism while ignoring your own's.

48. How strongly do you believe that there are problems with video game companies that employ linguistic discrimination when translating their games?
I'm not familiar with this happening so I can't say.

I don't know what this flame war is but it almost sounds like it's expanding into more and more topics...

Whoa that's a lot of questions! 8O Where did all that come from?

I like Doom. You just go and kill monsters from hell. Old-school family fun.

Seriously though, I find it disturbing how normalized it is to just go killing realistic human characters left and right in games like it's no big deal, for fun. Monsters? Sure. Cartoony characters with little to no connection to reality? Fine. But realistic people? That's not cool. If you're going to be shooting people in a video game, then that should be a point of tension.

When it comes to sexual content, it bothers me when I find myself asking "I wasn't looking for porn, why is there porn on the screen" (like in The Witcher). But if it's like a lighthearted puzzle/porn type of game, then I think it's fine. You'll only ever download it or run it if/when you want to see porn, so it's not out of place.

Is this a litmus test for how many questions people are willing to answer before they give up?

I believe the questions are the subject of a massive shouting match in the gaming world. Check the post that started the thread to see if there's any more context.
