Meh. "Star Wars" for me ended after "Return of the Jedi". Now I think they're just overdoing the franchise with all of the new stuff.

I hope Marvel will do a Fantastic 4 movie the right way instead of giving us another POS in the same style as were the ones from the 2000s and the 2015 reboot film.

Let's all pretend those three movies never happened at all.

They're still trying to milk that franchise? 3's ending was good and it wrapped up everything nicely... then we got 4 and now this...

Patricia Lea Jenkins (b.1971-07-24) is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter.  She directed the films Monster (2003), Wonder Woman (2017), and directed and co-wrote its prequel, Wonder Woman 1984 (2020).  For her work on the pilot episode of The Killing, she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series and won the Directors Guild of America award for Outstanding Directing in Dramatic Series.  In 2017, she occupied the sixth place for Time's Person of the Year.

Meh.  As others have pointed out, she is being brought on-board to milk/save/prolong the agony of a movie franchise that should have ended over a decade ago.  I wish her well; but unless she brings something both new and exciting to the franchise, she is just another Hollywood director.

problem is how well it is working. I was making marzipan animals with food coloring with my two nephews, 5 and 8, recently. I was making dolphins and pigs and such, and they were making baby yodas. they know all the plot and family relations between star wars characters. and they haven't even seen a single one of the films, let alone the mandalorian.

I enjoyed 4 out of the 5 new Star Wars films to varying degrees, so I'm looking forwards to seeing what Jenkins does. I just hope they have a more coherent narrative game plan from now on, to avoid a repeat of the "Rise of Skywalker" fiasco. And I hope the visual style of that film isn't repeated- I swear it nearly gave me a seizure. Frankly, what bothers me most about the Star Wars revival is the damned fans. The infighting and whinging has reached a peak of stupidity where I just look at it and go "Clearly I can't be a Star Wars fan if I actually like Star Wars."
