Where I live, a city in California, this town used to have many Trailerparks.
They have gotten rid of them, one by one.
THAT is where our homeless come from!
A one-bedroom apartment,in the 1940’s or 1950’s, is $1300 a month!
And that is cheap for here!
A trailer rental, fenced yard, parking place, propane extra, is under $1000!
There are a few, very few, motels left where low income people live as long as they can.
When you have nothing but G.I. Bill or Social Security, you literathave nowhere to live.
You MUST stay in town, because the weather is too cold/rainy anywhere else.

*"If you ever feel you are worthless remember that you are full of expensive organs." [anon]
*"The paradise of the rich is made out of the hell of the poor." [victor hugo]
*"The world has enough for everyone's need, but not enough for everyone's greed." [Gandhi]
*"The man who has eaten enough will never believe a hungry one." [Albanian proverb]
*“When the law no longer protects you from the corrupt, but protects the corrupt from you – you know your nation is doomed.” [ayn @#$%ing rand, of all people!]
*"The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern." [Proverbs 29:7]
*Nobody realizes that some people expend tremendous energy merely to be normal. - [Albert Camus]

But he had a voice.
And he had thoughts and opinions.
And WP gave him a place to be heard.
And you, Aunt Blabby, were his friend.
And we all respect you for that.
And we are all sorry for the sadness that his passing has brought to you.
God bless both of you.

he is in a well-deserved heavenly realm now. where all is restored to perfection. not an earthly worry in memory. just peace and pleasure and calm.

RIP ASS-P, I hope you find the peace you never found in life.

Ty, @auntblabby for your eulogy. You have done great honour to his memory and your kindness is very clear. I respect these traits, in you.

May the memory of his life and suffering be a source of growth for each of us, and stimulate deep compassion for the millions of others whose only home is no home.

Be well.

Strange.. I never met him nor heard his voice, but every once in a while I think about him and his posts and messages. His brains may have been scrambled, but his heart was in the right place and he was a good soul. I expect he's at peace now, enjoying the ever after in the ether. 8)
