Last one was Zappa via our library video streaming service. I was never really a fan, but that was just personal taste. No shade on his brilliance and sheer ability to focus on turning out boatloads of material spanning genres.

Trumbo

Not to be confused with the 2015 biopic film of the same name (that starred Bryan Cranston as Dalton Trumbo), this had some interesting insights to who Trumbo really was during his years on the Hollywood Blacklist. Many letters written by the man himself are recited by different actors and actresses alike (Nathan Lane's recital was IMO the funniest) and Trumbo himself is shown through archival footage.

Trumbo sure was one interesting man and this film is highly recommended. :)

Sounds like something I'd like. I really enjoyed the Cranston movie.

You should certainly take the time to watch this film.

Me and my family are watching an episode of David Attenborough's A Perfect Planet every Sunday. It's really good and has shown me just how diverse our environment is, how perfect the conditions for life are, and why we need to protect the planet.

Ayyyyy I’ve been doing the exact same thing with my mom!

Oh nice! I haven't watched the one about how bad humanity's influence is because I know that would make me cry. I have high empathy.

This hits close to home.

I don't watch many documentaries, but one of the most amazing documentaries I've ever seen is Abducted in Plain Sight. It's about a girl who is repeatedly abducted by the same man, a man the parents know. It's trashy, and sensationalist, but it was a real wild ride. I feel like saying much would be spoiling it. Even if you're not interested in true-crime I would recommend it, the whole story is a real "truth is stranger than fiction" moment. Frankly, I was pretty disappointed in Tiger King, everyone was hyping it up as this insane story, but it didn't match up to the craziness of Plain Sight.

Q: Into The Storm.

Documentary series that discovers who Q really is. Not to spoil anything, but he's definitely not part of the late Trump administration, or with any intelligence service. In tracking down this troublesome individual, the computer savvy eccentrics who prank the lunatics into believing the most absurd things are interviewed. Great series.

You Never Had It: An Evening With Bukowski.

Birthday present from my wife. Documentary by an Italian interviewer who had spent a night interviewing and getting drunk with author Charles Bukowski. The conversation ranged from writing and writers, to sex. Lots of fun for any of Hank's fans.
