I decided to do more research on the anti-Arab hypocrite by the name of Bari Weiss and apparently this same Bari Weiss whose article started this hypocritical thread just so happens to be the biggest SJW, Cancel Culture proponent, and woke mob, only for Israel. Glenn Greenwald exposed her hypocritical ass below:

https://theintercept.com/2018/03/08/the ... ze-israel/

"fReeDoM oF SPeEcH uNdEr aTtAcK!! SjWs grrr grrrr"

Next time Jimmy if you want to make a thread about fighting the Woke generation dont use as your primary source the biggest opponent of free speech.

A simple google search on the identity of this Bari Weiss and all credibility to this thread just evaporated

Interestingly Bari Weiss is the source of the current campaign against Yale academic and psychiatrist Dr Aruna Khilanani from another thread. The pieces of the puzzle starting to fit together.

To be fair Aruna did say some rather disturbing stuff that deserves to be censored and silenced, so no hypocrisy from Bari there.

After witnessing Israeli women when I was 6 in Palestine chanting "Death to Arabs" and "f**k Sand Ni**ers" I dont think the piece you sent me was all that surprising or in any way fazing to me. A rabid radical Zionist thinking Palestinian lives being sacrificed for the greater good has as much shock value to me as an adult watching a PG-13 movie.

To each their own I guess. Barring my fiancee I've never ever thought a single girl or women was considered pretty or beautiful so I'm probably not seeing what you're seeing. I dont know, something about my brain makes me see others as ugly or neutral unless I develop a strong bond or love for them.

And people I hate my brain always sees them as ugly no matter what. Because I hate Bari Weiss I probably see her 10x uglier than had I known her without hating her, in which case she would look neutral to me.

Interesting observations salad.

I also despise Lauren Southern and Ann Coulter but I'm also not blind

To maintain relevancy.

It's the same reason the Cold War and the Red Scare aren't major plot elements anymore.

But since when does political modern relevancy matter in entertainment? I mentioned about how I like European and Asian movies, because they do not put 'woke' politics in their stories, and those movies seem do to well in their countries and they don't care. So if they don't care about being 'relevant', and are still entertained, then how are they getting away with it and it still works?

Aren't they just relevant for their domestic audience?

Political relevancy has always mattered.

In 1960s America you weren't likely to see a movie showing how brave socialist trade unionists successfully resisted their bosses demands and raised the standard of living for everyone at the coal mine but you saw lots of anti-Soviet rhetoric woven into movies because that was a theme that resonated with audiences. Not everyone in the audience but enough it was seen as a positive and worthwhile thing to include.

Just like today, all that's changed is the message they feel is important. Big American studios have never been subtle about how they incorporate those messages.

Oh okay. What about the new movie Charlies Angel's for example? I hated it because I felt it was too much about 'woke' politics, but was the original 70s show and earlier movies in the early 2000s also political for their times, but I just didn't see it?

People called out Drew Barrymore for her Charlie's Angels movies not featuring any gunplay from the heroes, so yes, it seems you did miss that or forget about it.

Most of these freak-outs will be forgotten too, they're just part of the era's zeitgeist.

What does not having any gunplay have to do with politics?

Because she's anti-gun and that was her rational for the decision that the heroes wouldn't use guns.
It was an explicitly political move to showcase her ideological preference and she confirmed this in interviews.

And the RWGN bloc whined about it just like the anti-woke bloc whines now.
