Or perhaps she had a physical problem with PIV? In any case, it appears that you and she were not compatible.

She refused to perform any sort of sex act on him.

Or, at least, nothing that he was into. We don't know the full story.

I concluded that based on this:

Quote:
She would have me perform oral on her but never reciprocated.

Please keep in mind that WP is not a representative sample of society.

Of course not, but hopefully it is somewhat representative of the kinds of women who post on WP, i.e. autistic women and NT partners of autistic people. In other words, the kinds of women who otherwise are relatively likely to accept you.

I didn't mean to dismiss the poll. It's just something to keep in mind.

Autistic women and NT partners of autistic men are not heavily represented among the women I encounter IRL.

But he hasn't told us what else, if anything, she might have been willing to do besides PIV and reciprocated oral sex. Not that this is important, because they clearly were not compatible in any case.

Is there any way you could increase the number of autistic women you run into IRL? For example, are there any autistic adult support groups anywhere near you? (Try Meetup.com, and try Googling for the Autism Society in your state.)

Every time I hear someone giving advice to women about how to date an aspie, I can't help thinking why wouldn't she just date an NT instead?

Most likely, because she just happens to be attracted to the specific person, for whatever reason or combination of reasons.

I've heard a lot about women being turned off by traits that are commonly associated with ASD. Like shyness/awkwardness, not knowing how talk to a woman, obsessing too much over a certain interest or hobby, struggling to find career success, struggling with communication, etc. Given all that, I just don't see what an aspie guy could have to offer when women access do a large number of NT men who don't have those issues.

There was a lot more going on in that relationship. My ex gaslighted. She told me that other women think I'm ugly and gross. She regularly made demeaning comments disguised as jokes about me being a well trained dog. She isolated me socially until my entire social circle was only her and her friends. She kept making up stories about my friends so to get me to disassociate myself from them. She used the threat of leaving to control me. I eventually got to where I was afraid to go anywhere or do anything without her approval. Her manipulations were subtle, and didn't recognize any of it at the time. But when it all hit later on, the more I studied about psychological abuse the more everything fit together and made sense.

I'm turned off by anything that involves bondage, violence, or inflicting pain; and I'm outright disgusted by any act that involves the anus. I assure you I'm very vanilla. Even BJs aren't a big deal for me; it's the refusal to reciprocate rather than the actual act itself that bothered me. Like everything else in our relationship, all she did was take and never give.

I was expelled from the local group. I never met any single women there that weren't over 60 anyway.

There were a few in the local autistic adults group.

I am not going to divulge my location. Sorry.

Do you know Krafite by any chance?

I'd explain what happened. But I'm concerned that someone from the group might be on WP and identify me.

Mona and I don't know each other at all. We live in different parts of Queens.

It doesn't mean that I would mind meeting her, though.

Yeah, but... What changes? If the man had passed out, would he even realize he's no longer a virgin?

There can be a profound psychological change.

It hardly changed me.....it just made me realize that losing one's virginity wasn't all that it was cracked up to be.

Much of what I've read on WP is contrary to my experience. For me, losing my virginity at 20 (and I was probably rather lucky to have done so at that age) was a huge turning point in my life. In fact, any time I come across the topic of the year in which that happened, I unavoidably think of the significance.

It can have a profound psychological impact.

We are all different.
I always had a philosophical problem with coitus.

The actual act was a turn off for me.
I am not interested in porn involving couples.

It took a great deal of time to come to grips with the concept.
In the end, the actual procedure was frustrating and an anti-climax, pun intended. ;)

"Is that it"??? 8O
Wow!
What a let-down. lol

Hence my standing joke: "Sex is a farking joke." :lmao:
