My birthday is March 24 so I'm an Aries and my ruling planet would be Mars.

You left out "Other", and Pluto is a dwarf planet like Ceres.

Am a Gemini. So I am ruled by Mercury according to that site. Have heard that before. Mercury was the messenger of the gods. So if he is your ruling planet you are given to intellectualness, and to... talking a lot... according to the site. Seems to fit. Lol!

They use the word "planet" loosely to mean "any heavenly body other than earth".

The ancients knew of only five of the non-earth bodies we now call "planets" (Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and Mercury). And they called the Sun and the Moon "planets", and did not think of Earth as a "planet".

Apparently modern astrologers use the term "planet" to include both what the ancients called planets, and three of the bodies discovered and dubbed "planets" by modern astronomers after ancient times (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) as planets.

Something else to consider:

When astrology was invented the locations of the constellations have completely shifted their locations, that is to say that someone born today under said sign is in all actuality born under something different. If I remember correctly, for example, a Taurus is really an Aires!

Because Astrology is not a science, and hence is not to be taken seriously.

True, in their earliest form -- thousands of years ago -- astrology and astronomy were one and the same; but whereas astronomy diverged from astrology to evolve into the science it is today, astrology still relies on superstition and tradition to maintain its presence in today's more enlightened society.

Still, astrology if fun to play around with, and it makes for an easy way to make a modest living by providing seekers with something for which they will pay good money, and if you remember that there is a seeker born every minute.

According to that website: Pluto. But, I think I'm more lighthearted than they suggest.

That marking on the heavenly body is usually thought of as a heart. Pluto wears its heart on its sleave.

But it does look like that that heart is attached to a "neck" at the south pole. So...maybe that heartshape really is (gasp!)the head of the cartoon dog (who was actually named for the Planet).

You left out "Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer".

I am a Taurus so Venus, if you believe in that sort of thing.

At least, I included every day of the year. The planet you belong to is based on your Zodiac Sign.

The forum is called, "Wrong Planet," so that means we belong in space, not Earth.
