I hate any kind of movie about wars too.

I also dislike Westerns because of the veiled racism of cowboys killing the Native Americans or occassionally the 'white savior' cowboy who saves the tribes while still looking down on them.

My mom thinks of Eraserhead as a boring movie. My NT sister thinks of Eraserhead as a weird movie. However, one we will try not to watch is the cult film Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas.

that one sounds like a downer, yes.

Even though it was directed by Terry Gilliam and starred Johnny Depp, the three of us just don't like the idea of sitting for two hours watching two guys cursing almost non-stop and going on acid trips.

Had read the book earlier on it was much better. Did not like the movie .

She often is a person who can't be convinced easily.

Always discovered those few movies on DVDs I wish I didn't check-out.

One rule of thumb with these movies is:

* To view the first ten to fifteen minutes of the movie.
* To view the middle ten to fifteen minutes of the movie.
* And to view the last ten to fifteen minutes of the movie.
* And to determine the gist of movies an hour and a half to two hours in length.
* All of the above inside of a half-hour.
* And sometimes wondering why I had bothered with just about any of the above - except maybe the first ten minutes of a movie.
