Why has chromebook never heard of Z?

Virtually every time I spell a word with a Z (zed!!) in it, chromebook underlines it in red as if it's spelled incorrectly and when I right click is suggests that the Z should be an S. Wtf? Did google cheap out so badly on these things that they only programmed them with a 25 character alphabet? Weird!

If it's only with words that end in -ize (and derived words), then it's because all computer systems afaik assume all Canadians use the British spelling (-ise). I've seen Canadians complaining about that before.
