For all those who say the police need more training, no, I’m saying the training is a big part of the problem.
They’re taught to view things in the worse possible light — okay, that one is maybe defendable. But then they’re taught that non-compliance is this huge sin. And the combo of these two is not good.
Consider the case of the army officer in Virginia who was recently pepper sprayed.
And yes, I think we can learn a lot from the non-lethal cases, too.
