Is it best to quit drinking alcohol altogether?

when I go out I do enjoy having a few beers because it makes me feel more relaxed and social etc...

Alcohol is addictive, and it could adversely affect your health after long-term use.

But its use is a personal choice.

Adverse synergy should be a concern of yours.  Consult your doctor.

For some people, it does.  For others, it only "takes the edge off" by dulling the senses, even though it really does not make anything else any better.
People can also develop a dependence on alcohol, especially if they've been drinking heavily for a long time & there can be a kind of rebound effect if they suddenly stop.

How long do you think the rebound effect can last for?
