Hang in, Ian.

Hemorrhagic, not exactly sure which part of the brain though if your talking about it in such detail. Sadly its the left side of her brain.
Meaning she has no ability to move the right side of her body at the moment.
From my understanding, she can only just about speak but it's very slurred or inaudible.

The only good thing is that she is making some improvements as the day goes by since this happened last Thursday. Although the progress is pretty slow, it will take some time for her to fully recover.

The damage is pretty bad but sounds like she may HOPEFULLY make a full recover from what I've heard and cannot visit due to COVID (also because she is in the ICU unit).

The fact that she's making tangible progress so quickly is a good sign.

I believe she will beat this.

Same after hearing something like this.
She sure is a fighter, she went through so much ESPECIALLY when it comes to her health. :ninja:

Thanks for the update Ian.

It's so freaking sad - but I'm still hoping for miracles.

Does she still have Covid?

Like KK said, it's good that she's improving already. I'm hoping that she'll be able to make a full recovery.

As of now, no. From what I've heard, they made an error. Personally, I see it as a BIG error if they made a mistake with the test and now tested negative. Something about it doesn't add up. :|

That's a mistake I'm grateful to hear about. So long as they didn't pump her full of Covid medication, which would overtax her kidneys, I'm just glad that she's negative.

And further updates, they’ve managed to stabilise her and in a stable condition for quite a while now. The bleeding as in fact stopped. Also it was quite a huge part of the brain it has affected around the middle part.

They’re going to move or have moved her to the neurology ward where she will have the right treatment and rehabilitation.

Also this week, the speech and language therapist is going to arrange a video call with me to do with her to see if she remembers me and/or to something like this helps her to recover, especially if she sees a familiar face.

I’m extremely nervous about this, I don’t know what my reaction to this will be. I really hope I don’t end up being stuck with what to say. :(

They also mentioned I maybe able to see her in person in this circumstance, but will have to double check this.

Thank you for the update.

I hope she remembers you and is able to to start recovering. I'm sure you'll have something to say. Write a script in advance if you're really worried, even just a few points to start from.

If she recognizes you, at least three quarters of the battle is over. Tell her that you will be there to help her along the way to recovery.

Just say what's on your mind. Tell her you appreciate her as a friend.

My heart is breaking.

It's all good news, and I still feel positive about her recovery, but I know how hard this must be for you.

I'm very glad that she is finally in a stable condition now. I hope that your video call with her goes/went well, and that you can see her in person.

The hospital still didn't get round to organising a video call, even though I chased that up 2 days ago. Thankfully, she is in a stable condition. Still unfortunately unable to gain further speech. But is able to eat without a tube.

She's no longer in ICU (Intensive Care Unit), she has been moved to a specialised stroke unit where they deal with those at this present time. Last update I had was 2 days ago.

She remembers me thankfully, she called me and intentionally. But she could only say yea, was able to express. She was pretty much crying as its incredibly hard to get the words out. It was nice to hear her voice again but it's obviously not the same.

Progress is clearly being made.
