How so?

I would have thought it was the interest that was the focal point of attention when you are doing them. I mostly like to do my interests alone and when I am doing them I am focused on the interest, not the self.

I sometimes have too much ego when I share my restricted interests to others.

Ahhhh

Is that why you think it might be NPD?

I only tend to talk about my interests in the real world if people either ask, I get excited about something (like my colouring pencils from whsmith...I recommend them as for the price they are most excellent), I need to resolve a problem or I think I am being helpful and passing on advice (people don't have to take it).

Kind of, but I understand what you mean.
