I had my Diagnosis today and I'm officially on the Autism spectrum.
The questions i was asked were intimidating though, I found it exhausting as it was hard trying to answer things straight away, he even said why wasn't I diagnosed years ago and I said Autism wasn't known about in the 60's when my Mum felt that I had it.

Congratulations!! That's a huge accomplishment and yes, it's bloody exhausting isn't it!!

I hope you celebrate yourself and have a great weekend!

That's very good! I'm glad that you were able to get diagnosed. :D

CONGRATULATIONS!

You've been living on the Spectrum your whole life but now you're an official resident! I hope champagne was involved!

You undoubtedly already got the first membership benefit: Understanding your life better. I liked that a lot!

Another benefit: If you choose to tell someone about your diagnosis and later they bump into one of your Aspie traits, you get to say "I have a doctor's note for that!" For some reason my bride isn't as amused by that as I am.  :D

Good for you. The assessment process can be very stressful. But you've crossed that bridge, survived, and got your "A" card. Happy for you, and good luck with everything ahead.

Great - I hope it helps you. I guess I won't ever try to get one. I'm aware of my limits and advantages and can't imagine any true improvement because of that.
