I'm very sensitive to sound. Can anyone recommend some noise cancelling headphones for me?

I am wearing mine now. I am wearing BOSE over-the-ear noise canceling ear phones.
I justified the cost by comparing it to loosing my job.
The earphones were cheaper than loosing my job.
