European Super League is corrupt and I know people who have actual ties to these clubs (being born not only in cities but in actual neighbourhoods) who are now looking around for other teams to support.

Sums up modern football.

For years I have been saying that football should be:
1 A European cup for the champions of every single top league in Europe
2 Possibly a second cup for their immediate runners up or for cup winners if it's not them

Yes there will be a gap in quality between the teams but who cares? If Leicester can win the EPL then who's to say a rare Danish team wouldn't win the European cup using these metrics? When we won it in 67, Celtic were a bunch of local Glasgow lads. That's the dream.

If Celtic were in ESL I wouldn't like it cos it's playing the same 12 teams every single season. No competition in that. Glorified friendly.

Not many English people can afford to fly to Italy and Portugal and Spain every week. Including middle class people in that. Unless they go into debt.
