The majority of it, yes.

I am a white person. Get Out (reading about it) shook me to my very core. People can't do that in real life. But they can do equally horrific things. It's a great film.

Those are the only ones I've seen
Idunno, I'm biased, I would definitely put Mad Max 4 higher, and take the Marvel stuff off.
But I think, in general, I would have a hard time putting a "top 20 of the decade" list together. I certainly ate a lot of popcorn, but I didn't buy a lot of DVDs/BDs.
Don't know if I would put Get Out #1, but it was really good. "Us" was really good too, though it was a little more predictable.

I agree!

My mom (who is Hispanic) hated Get Out so much but has never said why.

IMO, it reminded her of when she first arrived in the US in 1980.

Well I thought that Get Out was very overrated and I do not understand all the hype. Don't get me wrong it is a good movie, but not a great movie, and certainly not a masterpiece.

I gues the reason why I think it doesn't go beyond good was because I predicted what was going on and saw it coming a mile away. I said to myself, this feels just like The Stepford Wives. I bet it's going to be the exact same premise, accept the wives are going to be black characters. Yep, I was right.

So I just found it to be a predictable knock off of another movie. Still entertaining but still a predictable knock off. So I don't understand why people thought of it as this mindblowing masterpiece therefore, unless I am missing something?

Some of the movies on that list are pretty good, others okay.

Deathly Hallows part 1 above Fury Road?
Wonder Woman is on there but Blade Runner 2049 isn't?

Ok...

It shows an uncomfortable truth.

The paternal side of The Anonymous Household is entirely white when they my mom, she was treated like crap.

She spoke no English, did not understand American culture at all, and believed everyone to be a racist towards her.

She received a GED in 1996 and began her career in public education three years later.

However, she did enjoy watching Us believing it to more understandable.

Regarding the list, where's the Planet of the Apes Reboot Trilogy? :?

I tried to watch that film but was so triggered I had to shut it off.

I can tell it was very well done, but I couldn't handle it.

And once again regarding the list, I didn't think Birdman was very funny,
despite great performances from its cast.

Gravity, Spotlight and Parasite deserved spots on the list.

I never got a chance to see the remake of A Star Is Born nor La La Land,
so I have no opinion on both.

I didn't think it was supposed to be funny
There were a couple funny parts, but it was more of a drama, I thought.

I have read accounts that much dialogue in Birdman was improvised,
so IMO, it's more of a comedy-drama known better as a "dramedy."

The Shape of Water was a very well-crafted movie and Guillermo Del Toro
deserved his Oscar win to bring "The 3 Amigos of Hispanic Movies" (him, Alfonso Cuaron and Inarritu) and like many, I am looking forward to what he does next! :)

(I know his next movie will be a remake that is due this December, so I am eager to see it.)

Pitch Perfect was a brilliant movie and the singing kept me entertained! :)

I haven't heard of any of those except La La Land, which I saw. I thought it was heartbreaking.

My favourite film in the last ten years was The Wife, with Glenn Close.

I was thinking of watching it again soon.

Please consider taking the time to watch either Gravity or Parasite.

@ Everyone: It's interesting how no one so far has made comments on animated movies, so I'll start.

Missing Link and Kubo and the Two Strings were well-crafted animated films worth a watch.
