There was a suggestion that one go to
gatherings of people with similar interests.
My interests would pretty much demand that
the only thing I could be interested in would
be other middle aged men. AND, even then, they
no longer have the time/desire to pursuit to
the appropriate level, so I'd get rather bored,
just with the company.

Rarefied tastes suck.
