Starr congratulations on the 50th ! (half a century as I said to my mum - she's not yet forgiven me, but will say the same thing to me next year instead); my feeling is that we never quite grow up (not as NT types would see it, perhaps).

For the November crowd (though no-one asked me - hangs head in shame and embarrassment, but is working on the assertiveness training) - mine's the 12th

Thank you Michaelmas! I don't know why 50 seems so much older than 49 when it's only a year, but for some reason it does. I agree with the never quite growing up bit. Maybe 60 is quite soon enough for that, although that still seems a little young! 90 maybe? :)

Born May 31, 1925.

I'm surprised that I can be so old, but I guess it's true.

thank you for explaining. I suppose I am cautious because I can be so gullible. I, too, am surprised I am so old as well, born 25 years (and 6 months, 5 days) later than you, but I guess it is just doing what comes naturally.

I'm 45. I can't believe an 82 year old is able to do internet forums... I so wish my father would.
