Was gonna order the Lego set, then saw this Elon art this morning. Feeling torn!

Trying to decide between Art & whiskey or Toys & whiskey ? for a birthday present.

What's your immediate reaction? Which would you go with?

FWIW the recipient would appreciate either for sure.

Art:

Toys:

Whiskey is already purchased. 8)

Toxic? How so? And that's the thing about novelty.. it's new when it's new, and then it wears off a bit.. can't help that. But it'd be pretty sick initially, IMO.

He has a lot of Lego sets. Mostly cars. Plus one NASA rocket and another that's a windmill.

He's also a tech company CEO and one of his company cars is a modified Tesla Model 3 annnnd he's a fan of taking some risks to make things happen. Plus the image comes from a podcast session Elon did with Joe Rogan, which is Also cool af and a bit up his alley.

Until I saw the art this morning, the toys were the clear winner.. now I'm not so sure. Hmmm... :chin:

When.

~1998. :)

I ordered the art last night because it was on sale & vibes well with his interests And is a bit of a fun motivational piece of tech CEO art to go on his otherwise almost completely blank white office walls. I might still Also order the Legos, or maybe his wife will, or maybe I'll order them for Christmas - either way he'll likely have both before year's end. Also, the art should arrive 100% in time before his birthday, the Legos? Maaaaybe - they're back ordered and scheduled to ship out 3 days before his birthday, and that shipping date quoted is a Sunday, so the chances of receiving the Legos before his actual birthday are slim. Just one more reason to have gone with the art as a safe bet.

Even though it's the world whiskey of the year for 2020?

I bought 18 bottles, 9 on behalf of others, a few gifts, the rest for me. He bought 4 I think and drank 'em, I still have 6 and haven't opened one yet. After his birthday I'll have 5 for me and 2 more for gifts that will be delivered this Summer probably.

Do not get me wrong -- I like a shot or two of any good single-malt as well as the next whisky fan.

It is just that a box full of random Legos can still occupy my attention for hours.

I guess you're going on the beach, going down those 500 steps in the sunset?

Right now today? No, probably not. I've hardly been there during Covid. I DID go down 3 evenings in a row the weekend before last, though, then once more last week.
