The Arizona Audit
This has been going on for a few weeks now, and only in the last few days has there been much interesting going on.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/arizona-au ... pa-county/
Although every state has certified its results, the Republican-controlled state Senate in Arizona has undertaken a full hand recount and audit of the ballots and voting machines in Maricopa, the state's largest county, a move that has been frequently praised by the former president. President Biden won the county, a longtime Republican stronghold, by 45,109 votes, and he won the state by 10,457 votes. At the same time, Democrats also picked up a U.S. Senate seat from Arizona.
By subpoena, the state Senate took possession of 2.1 million ballots and nearly 400 election machines and turned them over to be audited by companies that include one whose CEO promoted debunked election fraud theories after the election. The majority-Republican county board of supervisors vehemently objected to the action and pointed to the multiple audits of ballots and machines that Arizona had already completed that had found no issues.
There are some valid questions about the potential bias of those involved in the audit, noted in the link above.
It has been live streamed here: https://azaudit.org/ since the start. It's been quite fun to watch from time to time.
The establishment media, the Democratic party, the anti-Trump GOP and Maricopa County have been acting strangely - strangely that is, if they believe the election was won fairly. The response of someone who knows he is innocent or at least wants to be perceived as innocent is : go ahead, investigate.
A letter from the state senate detailing the deliberate frustration of the subpoena, the state of the evidence and general non-compliance of county officials in delivering the required evidence. This include details of an election database that was deleted a few days before it was due to be delivered - someone committed a rather serious federal crime presumably to stop something being discovered.

Maricopa county want it on record that their employees had nothing to do with the deletion - true or not I don't know but it looks like they are going to point the finger at everyone's favourite bad guy, Dominion. This may actually have some truth to it, Maricopa county admit they didn't have admin access to these machines - negligent on their part not to have it, but it may well be the case that they couldn't have deleted the 2020 database without such access.
If you appreciate dark humour, in response to this, Dominion Voting Systems launch an attack on the forensic audit and refuse to comply with the subpoena and hand over the passwords to the voting machines. Totally not suspicious.

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/0 ... -machines/
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/0 ... ing-files/
Dominion appears to be admitting that they were the ones who committed a crime in deleting database directories from the voting machines in Maricopa County, Arizona, three days before the machines were handed over to auditors per a subpoena from the Arizona Senate.
Maybe Maricopa County is off the hook for the database.

AZ GOP chairman details attempts to stop the audit and hints at the preliminary findings.
The twitter account of the Arizona audit team reveal (or lie if you don't believe them) that they are finding “significant discrepancies between the number of ballots therein and the batch reports included in the boxes”
https://twitter.com/ArizonaAudit/status ... 3631068164
This is related to the chain of custody problems noted in the letter above.
It could all be a big old pile of nothing, but it might be worth keeping an eye on it.

If anything it's strange that the GOP are assuming that the election was won unfairly, despite almost half a year of time to review this and every other election in the country. The media, anti-Trumpers, and Maricopa county's reactions seem to be less that they want them to stop sniffing around for things they don't want found, and more along the lines of "For the love of God, we've been over this so many times. Your own judges think you're full of it for making these claims. You're embarrassing yourselves."
Maricopa County Recorder Richer says Trump 'unhinged' after audit comments
Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer on Saturday called a Trump statement accusing the county of deleting an elections database “unhinged” and called on other Republicans to stop the unfounded accusations.
“We can’t indulge these insane lies any longer. As a party. As a state. As a country,” Richer tweeted.
Richer became recorder in January, after defeating the Democratic incumbent, Adrian Fontes.
The former president's statement came as Republican Senate President Karen Fann has demanded the Republican-dominated Maricopa County Board of Supervisors come to the Senate to answer questions raised by the private auditors she has hired. The Senate took possession of 2.1 million ballots and election equipment last month for what was supposed to be a three-week hand recount of the presidential race won by Democratic President Joe Biden.
Instead, the auditors have moved as a snail's pace and had to shut down Thursday after counting about 500,000 ballots. They plan to resume counting in a week, after high school graduation ceremonies planned for the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, which they rented for the recount.
Trump's statement said, in part, that “the entire Database of Maricopa County in Arizona has been DELETED! This is illegal and the Arizona State Senate, who is leading the Forensic Audit, is up in arms.”
Richer and the board say that statement is just plain wrong. In recent days, both he and the board have begun aggressively pushing back at what they see as continuing falsehoods from Republicans who question Trump's loss.
“Enough with the defamation. Enough with the unfounded allegations,” Richer tweeted Thursday. “I came to this office to competently, fairly, and lawfully administer the duties of the office. Not to be accused by own party of shredding ballots and deleting files for an election I didn’t run. Enough."
The GOP seems torn between those living in a reality where Trump could and did lose, and those living in a reality where Trump couldn't have lost, and if it seemed like he did, it must have been cheating.
Isn't this the same audit where they are checking for traces of bamboo on ballots to see if they were shipped from China?
Not one single person is surprised!
Good to see the pro-Trump GOP making good use of their time. They really lend credibility to this audit that it was so wrongfully denied by those shifty libs. Should we check for trace amounts of lo mein and orange chicken while we're at it?
That company, Florida-based Cyber Ninjas, has no election experience.
Seems legit! This article so shamelessly ignores their most important qualification: they support Trump.
Cyber Ninjas was ordered late last week to release information on how it planned to maintain voter privacy, after a state judge said he was "not yet persuaded" privacy was being protected.
Doug Logan seems like a reasonable, grounded individual.
I agree, this all is worth watching. It is worth watching for the GOP so they will see the inevitable embarrassment that will continue to come with these pitiful attempts to deny the reality of a lost election. It is worth watching for anti-Trump conservatives and those on the left for the entertainment and vindication.

Maricopa County ‘Will Not Be Responding to Any More Requests’ Regarding Audit, Openly Invites Legal Action
The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has announced that they will not be responding to any more requests regarding the forensic audit taking place, and has invited legal action to be taken against them.
The Board of Supervisors of Maricopa County held a special meeting on Thursday, where the Board, comprised of four Republicans and a lone Democrat, and slammed the current forensic audit of the 2020 election that was ordered by the Arizona Senate that is currently taking place in the state. As National File reported, Maricopa County has been accused of “spoliation” of evidence by the official Arizona Audit Twitter account, controlled by former Secretary of State Ken Bennett, to which the Board today responded with revulsion.
Supervisor Clint Hickman demanded that those conducting the audit send any evidence they find directly to them. “If you find something, anything, that was against the law, or was against our statutory authority, I believe we will be ready to answer that in a court,” Hickman said. “Especially when you are throwing around terms like spolation of evidence. We’ll see it in court, please bring it at that point, we’ll be happy to look into it because that’s what all this is about.”

Joe Scarborough had a cathartic rant about the election fraud brouhaha. Calling for integrity and investigating anomalies is anti-American and desecrating democracy now. Anyone who has the slightest inclination of election fraud...
...for example, anyone who believed Russia subverted American democracy to get Trump into office in 2016... can leave America, right now and be replaced by immigrants. Do it traitors. Joe says so.

Motion continues, slowly..
Ruby Freeman and her daughter who you may remember from various videos from Fulton County, in one apparently repeatedly scanning the same ballots during a counting pause have both been subpoenaed for deposition.

Georgia, Alaska, Colorado, Nevada delegates tour Maricopa audit floor, perhaps as prelude to ordering their own forensic audits.

More from Fulton, details leak out from the many witness statements:
https://en-volve.com/2021/06/08/ga-poll ... were-fake/
The absentee ballots all had flawlessly filled-in ovals for Biden, with the exception that each of the darkening bubbles had an identical white space inside it in the shape of a tiny crescent, indicating they’d been inscribed with toner ink rather than a pen or pencil.
She also noticed that all of the ballots were printed on different stock paper than the others she handled… None of the mail-in ballots had been folded or wrinkled, as she had seen in the past.
In other words, the Biden votes appeared to be replicated by a copying machine.
"They were all strangely pristine,” Voyles said, adding that she’d never seen anything like it in her 20 years of election monitoring in Fulton County, which encompasses much of Atlanta.
She wasn’t on her alone. At least three other poll workers saw the same thing in stacks of Biden absentee votes handled by the county, and they’ve joined Voyles in stating under oath that they seemed to be forged.
Now, election watchdogs have used their affidavits to persuade a state judge to unseal all of the 147,000 mail-in ballots counted in Fulton, allowing for a more thorough examination of the questionable Biden ballots for proof of fraud. They say that tens of thousands of votes could have been fabricated in a race that Biden won by just 12,000 votes thanks to a late surge of mail-in ballots tabulated after election observers were escorted out of Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.

The reason why the Democrats don't support a recount is because the firm carrying out the investigation - Ninja something or other - has absolutely no experience or credibility for carrying out a recount. The fact that they are hardly unbiased, but fanatical Trump supporters, makes one fear that they would not be above fabricating a Trump victory. The fact that they're trying to back up their preconceived conclusions by suggesting they must look for bamboo in the paper ballots, that said ballots had been fed to chickens, or that the machines had been altered by satellite transmissions, makes them sound like the loons they're continuously proving themselves to be.

This looks to be it finally. The results should be released today, a hearing with the AZ senate is scheduled for 1pm (UTC-7). It may well be a big old nothing burger as usual, but either way - hopefully, this is the last time we hear "two more weeks".

I’ve already seen confirmation that a draft of the reports concludes the original county count was valid. Honestly, any other conclusion would have been a hoax. I’m sure they were under incredible pressure to twist it in some way, hence the delay, but it sounds like the company ultimately went with honesty. Phew.
As for why anyone would object to this “audit,” there are many reasons:
It was partisan
It did not follow established best practices
The county had already done an audit
It wasted tax dollars
It impaired the integrity of the voting machines which must all now be replaced
It gives credence to invalid claims and perpetuates an inaccurate perception that our elections might not be secure

A hand recount of Maricopa County's 2020 presidential election vote has reiterated official results that showed Joe Biden won.
Auditors in Arizona found that the county's election had not been stolen from Donald Trump, as some of his supporters had claimed, and that the former president had lost by more votes than earlier official results declared.
The hand count found Trump had lost to Biden by 45,469 votes.
The report -- compiled by Cyber Ninjas, the Arizona Senate's lead contractor, and other subcontractors -- was obtained and reviewed by The Arizona Republic.
The audit had shown that the tabulation equipment counted the ballots as they were designed to do, and the results reflected the will of the voters.
The final report is set to be given to state senators at about 13:00 ET on Friday, 2021-09-24.

Nice to see the media up to their usual BS. The usual suspects are making such boneheaded reporting mistakes, that the only good explanation for me is that it is a campaign of deliberate misinformation. It is true that the hand recount part of the audit found an additional 360 votes in Biden's favour. What is helpfully being ignored is that the same source says that of these recounted ballots up to 57k+ were sketchy and potentially illegally cast - that's well over Biden's margin of victory.
I'll peek some more at the leaked draft document (here), but I am still going to stick around and watch the official reports/presentations though.

I have a feeling the AZ senate live stream might buckle under load. There is some interest in this as you might expect. Here is an alternative live stream hosted by youtube instead. I've no idea if it will be any good, it doesn't start for another 30 mins:

The news that Biden had won Arizona was first reported on Election Night 2020 by the decision desk at Fox News, which Trump viewed as an act of betrayal. Trump has spent almost eleven months insisting that he was the real winner in Arizona, and when Republicans in the Arizona State Legislature ordered the Cyber Ninjas audit at taxpayers' expense, he was certain that it would show he won Arizona, even going so far as to issue a statement last night (2021-09-23 at 23:07) that expressed confidence that Friday's press conference would show that he really won Arizona.
When the Cyber Ninjas hand recount showed more votes for Biden than the official government vote count in Maricopa County showed, Trump removed that message from his site.
