I still have a fear of Escalators mostly because I’m afraid of falling for being too top heavy. 8O

I hate escalators too. I was always afraid I'd lose my balance.

When I was really young there was a streetlight in our backyard. I always thought the light that hit my bedroom wall from it looked like a scary/angry face.

I was afraid of corn on the cob, because one time mine had a tiny worm in it. My auntie pulled out the worm and wanted me to finish eating it. My parents expected me to do as I was told. I didn't touch corn again for decades.

The only thing that stands out to me is that I can clearly remember being afraid of the toilet flushing. I'd have to open the door then push down the handle and then leg it out of the bathroom as quick as I could. I had a similar fear when the water was draining from the bath. I think it was the noise of it that I was scared of.

I'm not scared of it any more.

I was afraid of wolves (we have no wolves where I live, only coyotes, by the way). I thought that every time I rubbed my eyes (and saw a dark spot that looked like an "eye") that it meant that wolves were getting closer to finding me and eating me. I was convinced that they were searching for me and would eventually find me.

I had a lot of strange superstitions as a toddler/child.
