They embrace the false premise that everything is settled when it suits their political/ideological position.
Simple logic will tell people that if there is no definitive evidence, a definitive conclusion can't be made.
Speculation is not fact.
I hope they have learnt from this experience, but I doubt it.
Hyperpartisan politics corrupts people's perception and integrity.
And there was a mega-dose of butt-protecting, from the scientific community who is culpable for the deaths of 3.5 million people, and counting, assuming it did happen.
Butt in any case, the are scampering around trying to dodge the ramification.
