Are there any health benefits of walking 10,000 steps a day?

Yep. Lots of health benefits.

Less chance of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.

I do about 30,000 steps a day on average.

would doing 30,000 offer even more health benefits than 10,000 steps?

It would be wise to start with 10,000. You have to work out for months to safely achieve 30,000 steps a day.

I am somewhere between 10-15000 a day depending on what my watch says vs what my phone would say. I work a job that is physical in nature, so my steps are about 8-10000 a day right there. I go out for a run 2-3 times a week and that usually puts me between 3500-5000 steps a session over 30 minutes and somewhere between 3.7-5.4 km.

I'm sure it's good for your cardiovascular but it's all relative. It's putting extra strain on your joints at the same time.

I'd say that eating healthy (low carb in particular) is just as good for you as walking.

I'd be curious to see how many steps someone does on a regular day, and then see how far we get from the 10 000.
