So can trans kids still do sports but would have to do sports with their assigned gender?

Well then they will be seeing a guy on the girl's basketball team and then learn he was born a girl and had to be on the girl's basketball team because of his assigned at birth gender.

Between this, the voter suppression law, and legalizing running over protesters, it's no wonder why I call him Ron DeSatan.

Women's sports are in for the most exciting era of record breaking in history and some guy like Desantis has to ruin it.

Cos ALL men are ALWAYS better than ALL women at ANYthing athletic, so if you let even a single transgender woman participate, CLEARLY they'll just use their "manly" might to dominate the sport, right?

Cos 7 out of 10 transphobes agree that transphobia isn't complete without a dash of sexism, too.

Another fine example of men deciding what's best for women, for women. Here's a crazy idea. Ask the players how they feel, since they're the ones it actually effects.

What is it with this myopic fantasy where people imagine that every transwoman was and is a studly muscled goliath with amazing athletic prowess who's always and only interested in just sports, and only wants to dominate the girls team now that they are one too, and would therefore RUIN EVERYTHING if we let them play in the girls' team. It's amazing how, in some minds, literally every transperson is apparently a John Cena or Usain Bolt, and will just set record after record against the puny girls who don't stand a chance...

It's like they don't realize, or want to admit, that not all guys are all that athletic to begin with, and there are already hordes of girls that could clobber them at sports.

Meanwhile, in the REAL world, Becky (formerly Billy) was NEVER good at sports, she just wants to play soccer with her friends. But NOOOOOOO CAN'T HAVE THAT. YOU'LL RUIN EVERYTHING!! !

If what you say is true, why should men and women be divided in sports at all?

Technically women have never been barred legally from competing in men's sports. Mainstream sports teams are open to all genders.

If you have a biological teenage daughter who wants to join the girl's wrestling team, and one of her team-mates is a male-to-female trans whose already started male puberty, would you want the two of them fighting?

Probably not, I notice governing bodies seem to be selective whom they cancel though. South African middle distance runner Caster Semeniya was barred because of her testosterone levels. On that basis half of the Russian and German female athletes should have also been tested.

Being born biological male gives you more testosterone which I have always been curious how much testerone levels give female MMA fighters or even women's tennis players an advantage.

DeSantis and Florida Republicans sure are putting their efforts towards the real, serious problems facing Florida voters, and not just Christian-conservative, trigger-the-libs virtue signaling.

Where would we be without big government policing our genitals and hormones?

If we're so concerned about transgirls being too big and tough for cisgirl athletes, then just eliminate the gender distinction and replace it with weight classes. Or just add weight classes to the current system.

Or whatever system will let conservatives feel comfortable with transwomen and ciswomen like Caster Semeniya who aren't 'feminine' enough to play with 'regular' girls. We can't get them to accept transwomen, so maybe we can get them to at least accept butch ciswomen.
