Just had a scam call from "Amazon Prime" which mum answered but this time there was a human talking trying to persuade her to pay some charge.

I took the phone from her and said "Shove it up your arse ya cockroach." and hung up.

It made me so happy!

Isn’t fun to just let your anger out on those people. I had a similar incident when I was at my Grandpa’s house and the phone rang. I picked it up and said “Hello?” and of course it was some scammer and he said “Grandpa! I need help I’m stuck in Alaska! I need you to send me some money!” So I changed my voice a bit to sound older and told him “That’s too bad sonny! Hope the bears don’t eat you or the blood thirsty wolves for that matter, hehehe!” The guy hung up on me after I said that.

Those scammers are EXTREMELY prolific these days. I really hope the Senate can quit their petty bickering long enough for them to actually pass Amy Klobuchar bill that cracks down on robocalls but finding a winning power-ball jackpot lottery ticket laying on the sidewalk next time I go walking is much more likely to happen. Those cr@p calls are the main reason I keep my phone on Do Not Disturb mode unless I'm expecting a call from a number I might not know which is almost never. I have a bunch of numbers in my block list but blocking numbers is playing a game of Whac-A-Mole. They just call again from a different number. I try to look the numbers up when they don't leave messages & most of em are cr@p. I report the cr@p calls on my phone's call-filter app but I seriously doubt that does anything.

Extra fun when they spoof a number and it happens to be yours, and so you have some random person you’ve never even heard of call to tell you to stop calling them  Extra extra fun when said person doesn’t know that that’s even possible. Mercifully it was my mom who got that, not me, I have enough trouble being understood over the phone when giving just yes-or-no answers. And I am another who doesn’t answer unknown numbers unless expecting a call, for these reasons. I figure if it’s important (or sometimes even if it is a scammer/spammer  ), they’ll leave a message.

Thankfully that has never happened to me. However sometimes the scammers have spoofed my parents home phone number when calling their home phone. That's really funny. How can you call yourself from your own number  My family is in my allowed list so my phone will ring when they call me but otherwise I figure my callers should leave a message if it actually was important. There is also a setting to block international calls that I keep on but IDK how well that actually works cuz I sometimes get messages left by someone with an Indian accent &,or the message is selling me Viagra which I do NOT want.
