If you asked someone to hangout the next day and they said yes, then when the day comes they don’t text you all day... should you text them or do they not want to hangout anymore?

That’s impolite of them.

Text them and ask why they didn’t show up.

Say you were worried about them. Don’t seem upset.

I’m wondering if since I made the plans I should text him on the day of. It’s my closest friend. We hadn’t decided on a place to meet yet, but I didn’t want to text today also since they hadn’t texted me, and push them to hangout if they decided they don’t want to... but I’m not sure if they’re thinking “She didn’t text me so she doesn’t want to hangout anymore”

I’m never sure how these kind of things work.

He also messaged me today about something else. But not about hanging out.

I tend to overthink these things sometimes.

I'd imagine this site is full of people who do that.
Or avoid the situation to avoid the stress from overthinking it.

flakes

next time, you could arrange a time, the same time you propose an offer. and discuss texting beforehand.

not everyone has the latest greatest gadgets. it always got on my nerves how precious lil "people" used to cancel plans with me the last second, or just stand me up.

but whatever.

everyone has a "right" to be rude and annoying. but not everyone is having sex with the boss.

They may not want to hang out anymore, but they should tell you that beforehand.

And nothing wrong with you texting them for confirmation or to shore up details. That's what NT's do all the time. I know, because I watch them :D 8O
