This makes no sense, because it assumes that the street vendor, the taxi driver, and the babysitter have no overhead costs. How does the street vendor obtain the goods she sells? How does the taxi driver obtain the fuel to run his taxi? How do any of them obtain anything else other than what this meme say they obtain?
No . . . there is also the law of Diminishing Returns. That original $10 is likely to be reduced by 50% each time it changes hands due to overhead costs, so that by the time the babysitter gets it, she has only $1.25 to spend.

Grocery store workers need to be on way higher wages for what they do.
