I wander if there should be such as Adulthood Disintegrative Disorder, a form of very late onset Autism where an older teen or an adult naturally loses their high IQ, social skills, motor skills, memories and might develop psychosis at the age of sixteen or older. But this form of Autism that I am talking about looks related to Dementia.

I remember that Childhood Disintegrative Disorder was in DSM-4.

.. How about effects cumulative stress and consequential effects of autistic burnout?

Not necessarily as a diagnosis, but as a study or at least something to be recognized and prevented?

The above poster (Edna 3362) makes a good point; being perceived as "you're not a worthwhile person" takes a negative toll when this is the message you receive year after year. It takes fortitude not to succumb such negativity.

Makes sense.
