You should search not files, but recently modified folders. When you move a file into a folder, "date modified" field of this folder is updated.

Open top level folder of your USB drive in File Explorer.
In search field with magnifying glass icon at the top right of the window type: "kind:folders"
Then sort search results by "date modified"
Most recently modified folders should be the folders to which or from which any files where recently moved or deleted.
