96 percent of any group to agreeing on anything is astounding. Ever more so when you consider we have a Democratic president.
In recent years somewhat of a deal has been made of studies that show Republicans and conservatives are more fearful of things. What does this say about Democrats fear, if it says anything?
Assuming the democrats internal polling has been showing the same thing is that why Democratic politicians until recently have been more reluctant to lift restrictions? Or is it the Democratic politicians more negative take on COVID causing fear among their supporters? Even if the latter is the case 96 percent?
Something(s) weird is going on here.

Although a record-high 89% of Americans now say the coronavirus situation is improving, most are not yet ready to declare the pandemic over in the U.S. More than twice as many think the pandemic is not yet over (71%) than think it is over (29%). Republicans are far more likely than Democrats to say the pandemic is over, but significant differences also exist by gender, age and region of the country.

Why is something scientific (epidemological in this case) made political and presented as an opinion poll?
Should we do similar polls about rocket designs, quantum chemistry and locations of bauxite deposits?
Apparently, Democrats are much more aware that epidemies come in waves and the world is not just USA.

It was never politically expedient. Especially for the 600,000 Americans that died from it.False. It is about control and brainwashing the public. From the looks of most of the comments on this thread, I'd say it has been wildly successful.

Well, speaking of brainwashing, you might be onto something, even though I am not sure you have made the right positive identification...

My timing on creating this thread right as the Delta variant started to explode was exquisite(LOL).

Sorry, I messed up the quote I was responding to. I went back and corrected my original post.
I take "It has Never been about a virus" to be a ridiculous statement. And by definition, deserves ridicule.
