I was wandering about what happened to communication delays, I used to have communication delays from my early childhood, but not as much anymore.

I thought that ASD is a neurodevelopmental disorder and it is something that you have for the rest of your life, but I no longer have severe communication delays anymore, because I improved with therapy. And I thought that with ASD, you will always have communication delays, but I improved so much with therapy as I explained before.

I was confused, because I developed even more social skills with therapy as I got older.

I could be wrong, but I thought that "delay" in this context just means that one develops the skills later than in life than NTs do.
