republicans are literally killing people by advising against getting a covid-19 vaccine. How could anyone vote for any member of that party at either a state or federal level ever again? :? Like wtf? Why would people let that slide? Oh, you discouraged people from accepting scientific fact during a pandemic and the result was that a lot more people died for no reason and you want me to vote for you? Hmmmm, let me think about that... how about NO! 8O

They vote GOP because they're convinced that the Dems are going to "take their guns", "persecute white people and Christians", and "legalize pedophilia"

None of which is true.

Okay..

That begs the question:

Why are Americans so stupid? :chin:

Is it actual ignorance? :?

If so, does it stem from an underfunded public school system? That republicans were just in charge of.. ? Once again, why vote for that? Also, why vote for the part of no healthcare??

Boggles the mind!

I hear the "radical left," of the USA is considered right of centre in Europe.. but I haven't looked too much into it; too busy practising the critical thinking skills I learned in public school and utilizing my taxpayer funded healthcare system here in Canada.

It's stupid to vote for Democrats and Republicans, since they all serve the same corporate donors.

Dems are actually more dangerous because the media gives them complete cover, and nobody pays attention to what's actually going on anyway.

By dumbing-down education to exclude critical thinking and include the Great White Lie in every subject.

I’ve voted republican in local county elections, like justice of the peace or county clerk. Its because I personally know who I’m voting for (and against)and who is the best qualified. In this case the party doesn’t matter, their ability does.
Certainly not for President or major office.

In the case of the 2016 elections, many voted for Trump because they simply did not want a female president.

America is a center-right country politically--so naturally there are plenty of would-be republican voters. The republican base is far too entrenched to consider voting democrat. Moderates and independents can go either way, but they lean slightly right on social issues and hard capitalist on economic issues.
The GOP just needs to stoke fear about Dems making white children hate themselves/Dems raising taxes/Dems putting forward policies that even slightly resemble socialism, and the center will side with the GOP quite reliably.
Or they don't vote for the GOP so much as they vote against the Dems.
Statistically, the party out of power is also likely to win several seats in midterms by virtue of the fact that it's easier to criticize how someone does a job when they have that job, than it is to criticize someone who does not have that job at the time. This benefits both parties, to varying degrees.

The choices came down to a bigoted, bloviated narcissist and a smarmy, condescending narcissist.

That was about when my wife and I started building our retirement home in the Philippines.

I feel like hard working (high earners) get shafted by Democrats.

Obama .. if you were successful ... someone else made that happen ...

Ah yes, this familiar condescending cliche.
"I don't think Democrats are lazy, I just think the GOP is the only pro-hard work party."
The GOP is very pro-hard work, which is why they think that whether your hard work should earn you a living wage is left entirely to your employer. The less say that hard-workers have over their pay and working conditions, the better, supposedly.
The smell of capitalist propaganda is in the air.

Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans give a rat's ass about working-class people until election time.

^Truth
Sure would be nice if we could get a mainstream party in this country that is unapologetically pro-union, pro-labor, and pro-welfare.
Or at least one that pretends to be.
