When The Kinks recorded the song Rats, they were actually singing about people.

I just don’t think humanity is that bad.

There are certainly bad people, though.

That. I am also blown away by win-lose competitiveness and deception, etc.

I don’t believe in deceptiveness and cheating.

I admit I’m competitive, and like to win—but not using bs, bullying, cheating, etc.

I like a clean game, with no trash-talking.

That's a good point. I am also innately very competitive, but have been exposed to too much of what you wrote (and biased rules) that I'm turned off from it recently. Most often my introverted self-reliant child will make up a rule that suits her and my extroverted HSP child will scream about the unfairness --- I'm like "ummm, these are made-up rules --- how about making them what you want them to be?" In a peer game, how the kid the rule is "power" is beyond me.

It’s such an integral part of growing up: social Darwinism, making up rules to suit yourself, fighting others who made up rules for themselves.

Makes me glad I’m not a kid any longer.
