Too bad his beliefs are still alive.

Agreed with both of you.

An interesting history of alt-right politics in America.

I thought Joe Biden was America's racist Grandpa.

Let's see... Biden served as VP for America's first black President, then chose a black woman as his VP upon getting the Democratic nomination. He chose to run for the White House after Trump called Nazis at Charlottesville good people. He made Juneteenth a national holiday. So, how is he racist, again?

Well he picked Kamala only on the basis of her race and gender.
He said you can't go into a 7/11 without a slight Indian accent
Back in 77 he said forced busing would turn schools into racial jungles
He had some great things to say about Robert KKK Byrd at his funeral. (Democrat senator and Klan leader)
Biden referred to Obama as the first mainstream clean, articulate black guy in DC
Biden has racist diarrhea of the mouth by anyones standards.

A fun thing to do is lay that Biden quote on a Democrat, and assign it to Trump. When they stop frothing at the mouth, inform them ot Biden who said it.

If they don't belive you, send them this link:

Did Biden say racist things? Yes.

Were they his true opinions/reactions to things OR is he just a politician who knows how to speak to his audience? I Don't know.

Is it possible he simply spoke the racist language of the time in order to speak to his audience, racist Americans? Maybe.

Is it probable? Eh, probably not - he's probably just as off the cuff racist as many others.

Can people learn, change, and evolve their position on racism over time? Yes, absolutely.

Is Biden less racist today than he was 44 years ago? I believe so. And so is America and so are Americans - just not all of them.. not the red hat wearing ones, anyways.

Others don't seem to get the same grace as Biden. Why is that?
Trent Lott made an of the cuff remark about Strom Thurman in 2002 that someone, somewhere decided was racist and it ruined his political career. TV personality Paula Deen was accused of using a racial slur (twenty years earlier while being robbed by a black man) and it destroyed her brand. But, only the left is allowed to grow and evolve. Others are condemned as racists for life.
The truth is that "racism" is used as a cudgel against anyone who dares to stray from the plantation of the ideological left. Its a tactic laid out in Saul Alinski's book; Rules for Radicals which most of you have been trained to use without even knowing it.

1. Of course Biden is racist. People really still be acting like Biden isn't racist? Old southern racist did not stop being racist by being a black president's VP or by receiving a majority of the black vote--something plenty of the people who voted for him realize.
2. Stop with the whataboutism. Conservative whataboutism is almost a running joke at this point.
3. It isn't so much that only people on the left are allowed to grow and change, so much as it is that in my experience people on the left are more likely to change. Conservatives in my experience have a tendency to respond to accusations of racism by getting defensive and digging in their heels.
4. It's against the rules to celebrate someone's death, so I will just say that I am only glad he is getting into the afterlife that someone of his strong moral fortitude deserves.

No, Biden's an old guy who isn't particularly politically correct.
Sure, he said stupid things back in 1977 - - but that was back in 1977! People can change and evolve, and I believe he did.
Yes, he said good things about Robert Byrd - - a man who had spent the rest of his life apologizing for his racist past.
I don't care about the things he had once said, but what he does and says now.

They're all horrible people, every Democrat, every Republican. None of them give two flying f***s about any of us. That's what makes partisan politics so hilarious.

I hope those diverting attention away from the old S.O.B. who had supported and financed organized hate realize their doing so implies they sympathize with him. And no, I don't mean Joe Biden.

You could be talking about both of them. I condemn them equally.

To answer the question that's surely coming, I refer you to the infamous 1994 crime bill, for which Biden was one of the authors. It's passing led to a mass incaceration of people, mostly POC, for minor, mostly drug crimes.

He's never apologized for that.

But was the Crime bill purposely racist, or was that the unintended outcome?
But seriously, do you have anything to say about that racist old bastard who lived too long to give his support to racist causes?
