So, with the pandemic and Winter I have put on weight and my clothes are getting too tight. Over the last few years (I'm 50) my physical activity has been limited, I'm the most unfit I've ever been. I have managed my weight via diet. Being bad, cakes, biscuits, chocolate etc. on top of other food I like (not actually on top, gross), and then being good meat & veg only.

I'm dreading paying the price for my bad choices.

I don't want to join a gym, because.. people. I have a bad lower back and have been advised not to run.

So I need to lose weight and get fit.

How do you motivate yourself?

I walk every day—at least a few miles.

I don’t jog/run if my back hurts.

I’m recovering from surgery—so I’m only walking now.

I motivate myself by being glad I walk in scenic areas.
