I also used to bite the skin off around my nails. I don't even know why/how I stopped that as a kid, but I still have odd-looking skin there years later. :|

I've been carrying a nail clipper on my keychain since I was a kid. Never thought of biting nails. I don't think I can. My nails are very tough and my teeth are not sharp. :D Imagine using plastic toy scissors to cut sheet metal.

Not as much as I used to in comparison to when I was a child.

Whenever my fingernails are long enough, I just bite them off wherever I can do so.

As a matter of fact as I am typing this, my fingernails are short, so I'll wait it out.
