I'm really struggling to pretend to be surprised that this grifter's claims turned out to be bogus.

Yes, actually.  Because while some people may claim hacking occurred, no one has proven that hacking occurred.

Mike Lindell has questioned the results of the 2020 election, and has falsely claimed Trump defeated President Joe Biden by millions of votes. He announced there in July that 300-400 "cyber-forensics experts" would back up his claims that voting machines flipped votes for former Donald Trump to President Joe Biden in November 2020.  He also claimed to have "evidence" to prove all of this -- he had claimed that during his "Cyber Symposium", he would irrefutably prove that China used voting machines to change votes to steal the 2020 election from Trump.  No one can verify Mike Lindell's alleged "evidence" because he has not presented any.  The default assumption is that Mike Lindell has no evidence to present.

Lindell also claimed Trump would be "reinstated" as president on August 13.  Obviously, that has not happened either.  It is impossible for Trump to be reinstated as President during Biden's term.  The results of the 2020 election has long been finalized and certified and there is no legal constitutional mechanism that would allow for the results to be overturned.  The only realistic point Trump could return as President is on January 20, 2025 -- when the winner for the 2024 presidential election is inaugurated, but Trump would first have to become the GOP nominee and, second, win the November elections for that to happen.

These are the facts.

Mike presented statistical evidence at his symposium.

Yes, WAI.

The Con is Winding Down

By Philip Bump, National correspondent, Washington Post

Allow me to present to you the evidence that China stole the 2020 election.  Please sit down; I don’t want you to be injured when you faint.

So: voilà.

Image

Yes, you’re reading that right.  Looks like you owe MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell an apology.

Hm?  You say you can’t figure out what you’re supposed to be looking at?  Well, that’s just because you [mumbles] and you know what, I really have to get going to this dentist's appointment.

Let’s change gears for a second.

Imagine that someone handed you an envelope containing a lengthy document written in Portuguese.  You have it translated and you learn that it’s a written confession from a criminal who is currently siphoning billions of dollars a day from millions of individual checking accounts.  What do you do next?

Presumably, you call the local police or the FBI.  You present them with the original document and the translation and let them take it from there.  What you presumably do not do is promise for weeks on end that you have definitive proof that someone is stealing millions of dollars from bank accounts and that people need to fly to some remote location so that you can unveil that proof over the course of three days.

The gibberish above is one result of the latter process.  Lindell, who has claimed for months and months that he had definitive proof that the 2020 presidential election was stolen by China, pledged to release that information at a "cyber symposium" that is underway in South Dakota.  According to Lindell, someone captured Internet traffic in the days after the election that shows how votes were shifted away from Donald Trump and to President Biden.  Instead of simply presenting this evidence to the public, he withheld it, offering $5 million to anyone who can prove that the information isn’t legitimate. [...]

A federal judge ruled that Dominion Voting Systems could proceed with its defamation lawsuits against Mike Lindell, Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell.  Seth Meyers called them "Trump-adjacent weirdos" and poked fun at their election fraud conspiracy theories on last Thursday’s "Late Night".

"OK, so there are only two plausible explanations for what happened here: Either a federal judge appointed by Donald Trump ruled that unfounded claims of election fraud made by three Trump allies were not exempt from defamation laws, or Hugo Chavez teamed up with China and the C.I.A. to use Italian military satellites to hack the judge’s computer and alter his opinion, which was then printed out on paper smuggled in from China covered in bamboo fibers. The only way we can know for sure is if we take the judge’s ruling to a cabin in Montana, examine it under a powerful ultraviolet light, then bury it in the backyard, wait three days and see if it rains." -- Seth Meyers (2021-08-12)

 Way to go, Seth!

However, it turns out to be Jeff Buongiorno, a Republican congressional candidate in Florida.

Jeff Buongiorno claims "there was no attack".

Headline: "Mike Lindell Repeatedly Tried to Get Ads Back on Fox. They Keep Rejecting Him."

After angrily yanking MyPillow ads from Fox in July, the pillow mogul has tried at least three times to advertise on Fox, but no matter what changes he has made, they keep saying no.  In late July, Mike Lindell, the MyPillow CEO who’s made a new name for himself as one of Donald Trump’s most diehard political supporters and 2020 election deadenders, irately announced he was yanking his company’s pillow ads from the Fox News airwaves.

The immediate source of tension between the MAGA pillow magnate and the pro-Trump cable-news giant -- a relationship that for years has been financially fruitful for both, and led to Lindell's seeming omnipresicence on the Fox universe -- was the network’s refusal to run a TV ad mentioning Lindell’s then-upcoming "Cyber Symposium" featuring baseless 2020 election "fraud" conspiracy theories.

By August, however, according to Lindell and Fox, the pillow mogul began trying to rekindle the advertising bond with Fox, following the speedy MyPillow withdrawal.  But the overture towards a Fox-Lindell detente only went so far, with Fox rejecting his new ads multiple times, including as recently as this past Monday (09/13) and Wednesday (09/15).

A Fox News spokesperson on Wednesday evening (09/15) confirmed to The Daily Beast that Lindell's two, more recently submitted ads were, in fact, rejected.

He's got bigger fish to fry. Apparently the government is out to kill Mike Pillow.

Or he's suffering paranoid delusions. :chin:

It seems he's getting desperate for anyone to air his mike pillow ads so he can sell pillows and towels.. as his estimated Net worth of a few hundred Million dollars is only a drop in the bucket of the $1B+ he may be on the hook for in Dominion Voting Machines' lawsuit against him.

Hopefully all of these knuckleheads are bankrupted and go to jail over all of these lies. 8)

I am waiting for him to join the "I'm being canceled!" crowd with another massive press announcement.
