It's just a metaphor for the existential threats we face as a species. It's been close to midnight, give or take a minute or two, my whole life -- and I'm old!

What a pity. 8)

All promises.
No delivery.

When you get to our age, we just sit back and chuckle at the panic of naive people.

I think I have an archive on posts from this website, of people losing their minds over the pandora pandemic.
I am not sure it survived, but I might take a look if I have the mental energy. 8)

It was started in 1947 by Einstein, and other scientists. They set it at seven minutes.

It averaged about seven minutes during the cold war. Maybe ten minutes or more during the post cold war Nineties. But there were moments when it dropped to two minutes or less during both eras.

Got more unstable in the 2000s zigzagging from high to low.

But if you think of seven minute, or 420 seconds as "normal", then that means were are only four times as bad of as normal! :D

Only four times closer to nuclear holocaust!

I haven’t built a bunker or stocked up on MREs.
It’s not just covid, but everything.I have another smoky red sunset from fires in Cali.
I’ll just sit here on my porch and watch the show.

Look on the smoky red sunset bright side.
Some people, 10 years ago, predicted mass extermination of humanity within *5* years.

All promises, but no delivery. 8)
