Agreed. But some liberals call everyone to the right of them Nazis. Again wrong most of the time.

You may be thinking of Libertarians.

If I understand correctly, Satanist "doctrine" centers on self-actualization, not politics ... "It does not matter who is running the government, as long as they leave me the Hell alone!"

Maybe they are more like Anarchists ... ?

There is some overlap with Satanism and communism/socialism.

In most communist countries like China, North Korea, and the USSR the people live under State Atheism and the governments outlaw most religions including Satanism.

In Poland the Catholic Church was too entrenched in people's lives for the Communist era to ever remove it. Most Russian people I know are religious, either Catholic or Russian Orthodox. Most Chinese people I know are Buddhist.

So, we're lowering the bar for Nazism to "says mean things to people"?

That's an insult to actual Nazis. They don't work that hard to be that evil for any common bully to be compared to them.

I apologize for what I said about unmarried lovers last night. I can be blunt and to the point at times.

No, only saying that when folks struggle to describe someone's bigotry adequately and compare them to Nazis it's a dishonest deflection to act like what was meant wasn't understood and that not being a literal Nazi isn't a defence against being called out by someone who's too inarticulate to word it more precisely.

Go on... :nerdy:

Well so then...
"Marx Loved Satan" by Murray N. Rothbard
https://www.lewrockwell.com/2016/08/murray-n-rothbard/marx-loved-satan/

Marx isn't the be-all, end-all of socialism though. He's certainly a significant contributor to socialist thought, although his influence isn't as significant outside of Marxism and even within Marxism his ideas have been digested repeatedly at this point. Marx embracing Satan like an edgy teenager isn't really the same as having any significant overlaps in terms of ideology. Satan viewed himself as a liberator, so did Marx. Embracing that for imagery sake doesn't seem quite like embracing it in an ideological manner especially when historically there hasn't been any sorta consistent Satanic theology, just attempts at mocking Christianity.

It's a little more nuanced than that. It's accentuating sociopathic/psychopathic tendencies toward ill-treatment of people that are "disliked" with no regard for consequences. Not exactly light years from the mindset of a Nazi.

Case in point - young people who normalise bullying young teens to kill themselves who then go on and become upstanding members of society, Many hundreds of thousands of former Nazis neatly blended back into German society as if nothing had happened.

The nuance is that it's being a Nazi to say mean things to/about people the Left agrees with but it's not being a Nazi to say mean things to people the Left doesn't like.

I don't feel that very many right-leaning people would espouse Nazism----very few, in fact.

Extending the definition of Nazism weakens the impact of what the true Nazis wrought.

If somebody espouses racism, believes one race is superior to another, I would call that person out on that. This mode of thought has no place in our society. We have to attack these erroneous ideologies in a full-throttle way.

There are some labels (Nazi, satan, abortion) that certainly do trigger and need to be put in the correct context so agree.

Using religion for good for a change = 8)

What miserable humanity.
If a minority like Satanists has to fight for such women's rights by using actual religion to battle such a concept.

My heart goes out to them.
Somebody still got their head on their shoulders. Even if it's a goat head (Baph).

"Theistic Satanists venerate Satan as a supernatural deity, viewing him not as omnipotent but rather as a patriarch. In contrast, atheistic Satanists regard Satan as a symbol of certain human traits."

Instead of turning to Satan, why not invoke Lilith? I'm positive she's a demon who is more on the pro-choice side of things and an advocate for rebellious women everywhere. She's the original feminist. 8)

The Flying Spaghetti Monster church is a real recognized religion too, named Pastafarianism.

Its tentacly highness needs to get involved.

Still Buddhists have not successfully conquered most of the world the way European Missonaries have.

Maybe I am very anti-religion. I'm not exactly an atheist though, if anything I'm an omnist who leans more towards the spiritual movement known as neo paganism.

Today's pagans have no real power over the world (because Christians destroyed them) so they are not going to abuse their power and form a theocracy anytime soon.

Christians also stole most pagan holidays and made them their own while effectively destroying pagans and everyone else.

Well, good luck with that.

Most people on this forum are lefty and anti-Christian.
They would believe Satan is the lesser of two evils, which is just an oxymoron if anything.

When once in a while, there is a thread that is about another religion than Xtianism, people behave like victims. It's ironic. Like the beast is complaining when its overpowered rage and fury can no longer be overwhelming the world, forums and everything else, but it's them who are making "hell" the lives of the minorities on a daily basis and think their judgement should be forced upon the minority. When somewhat a level of controlled freedom is obtained, they just can't have it. They're too used to being bullies and satisfied.
