Obviously no one. But I myself would prefer to be happy than not (speaking as one who has suffered from depression and anxiety to being sick of it).

I prefer to be emotionally stable, rather than constantly "happy", let alone blissful.
Rationality works better that way. 8)

Happiness and emotional stability can be equated.

One of the first posts I ever made here, when I joined in 2013, was to make the observation that emotions distort people's perception of reality.
Hence, emotional equilibrium is my goal. 8)

Why?

Let’s start with the Month of August:

August 18: my brother’s birthday (he’s 49 weeks younger than me.

August 20, 1986: Dad finally succumbed to Cancer of the liver.

August 30: Mom’s Birthday

Sept 2: Dad’s birthday

Sept 7: My sister’s birthday (she died of spinal meningitis at the age of 2)

Sept 8: My birthday

Sept 15, 1986 Mom put the only friend I had growing up, A sable and white Shetland sheepdog b***h, down due to cancer.

Nov. 15, 2011–Mom finally passed after nearly bleeding out on me.

Any wonder the shrink diagnosed my as bipolar I with seasonal affect? :pale:
