That's my take on it. After the mass arrests from Jan 6th (remember the wonderful thread about the FBI arresting all the right wing fanatics) all of the flotsam and jetsam from the militias, QAnon and the diehard MAGAs hiding and waiting to launch themselves aborted their attempt,
Lest we forget, the vast majority of those who stormed the capitol come from decent middle class backgrounds with good jobs, a lot military, police and even a few secret service were among those who followed Trump's call to arms. I bet most don't want to lose their jobs by showing their faces on camera.

As I have explained, numerous times, the American political system has been corrupted by the political Aristocracy's self-interest on both sides.
