Zootopia 2

Inside Out 2

Get Out Again

The much-promised sequels to Mad Max: Fury Road

Rock & Rolla 2
(I thought this movie was going to be awful, but it took me by surprise! :o )

For all who didn't like Bad Boys for Life, a Bad Boys 4 will happen.

Bright Burn 2

For all who didn't like Sonic the Hedgehog, a sequel is going to happen.

Sequels to:
-=-- Automata [2014]
-=-- Chappie [2015]
-=-- Ex Machina [2014]
-=-- Journey to the Far Side of the Sun [1969]
-=-- Primer [2004]
-=-- Transcendence [2014]

A movie based on the 1977 book The Adolescence of P-1, but updated to today's technology.

A series of movies based on the D. F. Jones' Colossus trilogy of novels, but updated to today's technology (this would start with an updated Colossus: The Forbin Project [1970]).

A mashup of any Star Trek movie and either Bugsy Malone [1976] or The Terror of Tiny Town [1938].

The Star Trek part was my bride's suggestion. I was thinking either Serenity [2005], Tarzan the Ape Man [1932] or All is Quiet on the Western Front [1930] but I liked her idea better.

@ DR: I absolutely agree about a sequel to Ex Machina!
The ending left plenty of room for a sequel! :)

Regarding the others you think need sequels I am not sure about. :?

Strictly speaking it is "Name some films you would -like  to see made". I think all of the ones I have listed for sequels have potential for great sequels. Sadly, I don't know if any of those sequels there will happen.

Automata [2014], Chappie [2015], Ex Machina [2014], Transcendence [2014], The Adolescence of P-1 and the Colossus trilogy of novels could all be good lead-ins to a technological singularity. (Ditto her.)

I'd like to see three of James Ellroy's loosely connected novels, American Tabloid, The Cold Six Thousand, and Death's A Rover turned into a series on HBO or Showtime, or some other cable network. These deal with the government's illegal actions from the 50's into the 70's, along with assassination plots and involvement with organized crime, mixing fictional characters with historical persons.

When he finishes the sequel to Knives Out, I'd be okay if Ryan Johnson
did a follow-up to his debut film Brick.

MGM bought the film rights to The Martian Chronicles in 1960, but nothing happened.

As of 2012, the film rights are currently in the hands of execs
at Paramount Pictures, so only time could allow it.

On the other hand, a movie (or a series of movies) about The Lewis & Clark Expedition would be nice.

There was a Seventies made for TV movie adaptation of it that was rather descent.

I remember watching it, back in grade school.

The 1979 mini-series got a negative reception from Ray Bradbury.
