Before rushing to check why a person like this has a medical license.

A quick persual of his resume suggests he is not a proper medical specialist, He has a doctorate in kinesiology, exercise science and neurology and currently teaches neurokinesiology at the National University of Health Sciences.

Not only is neurokinesology a pseudoscience but the National University of Health Sciences is a private college that offers degrees in chiropractic, naturopathic, oriental medicine, acupuncture, massage therapy. Basically he's a quack.

These types of services are subject to enormous regulation in Australia as none are evidence based. The fact he's driving around in a brand new Jaguar suggests he is scamming lots of money from people foolish enough to seek his services and/or attend his courses.

Putting aside his dubious background, the college will be likely finding ways to get rid of him as the courses they are offering already have the air of attracting nutters, This is the type of bad press they don't need and don't want drawing attention to the types of people who practice these "arts".

My dad always taught me to be wary of chiropractors. Years ago, when my wife and I rented a house from her cousin in his backyard. a local chiropractor hopped up something or other tried to kick down the door of the cousin's house in the middle of the night. Needless to say, the quack got arrested.

Chiropractors and acupuncturists have been more successful than other "holistic" medicine practitioners in deregulating the health industry and some universities even offer courses now in these areas despite the dangers.

Acupuncture is also not safe

Some 30 years ago I knew a 17yr old family friend who died of hepatitis contracted from an acupuncture needle. Don't trust it.

Kinesology is a voodoo version of acupuncture which is already based on beliefs in spirits and energies and stuff that can't be proven.

Good point Blabs. I think his fellow Kinesologists will disbar him from practicing or teaching as they still need to abide by the overarching ethical conduct guidelines by the US version of the health practitioner regulation agency.

either he thought he'd get a medal, or he thought what he did was worth the disruption of his career. either way, he's a psychotic or a sociopath.

Wait, he has a doctorate in Neurology (and Kinesiology, and Exercise Science) and you're calling him a quack who plays with tarot cards? .

Why not just check what his own field says about their qualifications.
https://www.aka.asn.au/about-kinesiology

Kinesiology encompasses holistic health disciplines which use the gentle art of muscle monitoring to access information about a person’s well being. Originating in the 1970’s, it combines Western techniques and Eastern wisdom to promote physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Kinesiology identifies the elements which inhibit the body’s natural internal energies and accessing the life enhancing potential within the individual."

hmmm so what does therapy involve?

Professional Kinesiology practitioners undertake years of training to be able to access the movement of energy - or what the Chinese call ‘Chi’. Blocks or stresses prevent smooth energetic transmission, thus affecting functioning of our bio-systems, resulting in changes in energy. Muscle monitoring involves challenging the bio-feedback mechanism present in all muscles to reveal imbalances within the body.

So basically its for people who are scared of acupuncture so what these guys do is use hocus pocus to move your chi and make you healthy again.

Will you be willing to spend hundreds of dollars on this?

I'm not defending the guy's actions. But I think you have a skewed idea of what Kinesiology is. I know several professors of Kinesiology who studied biochemistry, biomechanics, and molecular science.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinesiology

I've used Kinesiologists and something similar to Neurokinesiologists for recovery from my acquired brain injury (stroke). It's a standard form of treatment for body / brain disorders and trauma.

I've also worked with an acupuncturist who has MD credentials and PhD in Neurology from Moscow. He's worked in clinical medicine for decades, and as a medical professor in Europe. He's written over 30 peer-reviewed neurology articles and medical books.

Just because you know one person who had a bad experience with acupuncture it doesn't mean the entire profession is a quack. That's like saying if you met one drunk driver, no one should be allowed to drive.

Carry on with the racism theme though. He's certainly an ass.

There is medical kiniesiology and acupuncture which have registered organisations where medically trained people use these procedures from an evidence based foundation so I agree there are exceptions. This is similar to psychiatrists who use NLP as an adjunct to their positive psychology techniques.

The problem remains where you have unregistered bodies that specialise in things like NLP, acupuncture or kiniesology. This college professor is one of those fellows. He doesn't have recognised qualifications.

But yes, lets focus on him being a criminal jerk.
